Cubicle farms are the absolute farthest possible existence from our hunter-gatherer roots. Our physiology was shaped over hundreds of thousands of years to move and move often. On the scale of human history, survival without a constant movement is only a very recent possibility.
Many of my three week experiments start with the question “What if?” When I get curious about a specific challenge after artificially inducing one or more limiting factors, I almost always discover something new about myself and what I engage in.
This story starts near the time of my birth. My earliest memories of my father involve his back pain. The restricted activities, the special chairs, ointments, gadgets and all the corrective stretches.
